Batter Up! Home Run Hero Makes a Comeback!! is the fourteenth episode in Elite Beat Agents. The song featured in the episode is "The Anthem" by Good Charlotte, performed in game by Kevin Ridel.

Summary[]

The story follows Hulk Bryman. Hulk Bryman was a super star Major League Baseball player who was nicknamed "The King" due to his tendancy to hit homeruns. Then, during a period of poor performances and excuse making (including a divorce he seemed to had suffered), he is dropped to Minor League and disgraced, forcing him into a shameful retirement. He becomes a janitor for an amusement park when one day he is recognized by a child, claiming he was Hulk. Bryman denies this claim and sheds a tear before hearing the kid shout for help, seeing that he was captured by a large volcano-like golem. The kid calls out for Hulk's assistance, Hulk suddenly recognizing him as the kid who came to his games and asked for another homerun, and told "You bet, Kid!!" Knowing he had to do something, he tears off his janitorial clothes to reveal his baseball uniform and yells for help.

Phase 1

This phase has Hulk, like a fielder, attempt to catch the fire rock that the golem is shooting towards the kid's friends. If the player performs decently, Hulk is unable to catch them in time, though they thankfully don't come anywhere near the kids. If the player gets an Elite Beat, he rapidly does leap catches, impressing his friends. If the player does poorly, they get bombarded by the fire rocks. At the end of the phase, Hulk demands for the golem to let go of the kid, but he then threatens to eat him. Furious, he throws his "Magnum Fast Ball." If the Elite-O-Meter is over half full, he succeds in hitting the golem, making him drop the kid. Hulk grabs the kid, who thanks him as he says "You bet, kid!" If it was below half full, however, Hulk aims poorly his pitch and accidentaly hits the kid instead, who bitterly remarks that Hulk "can't hide the years" as he apologizes.

Phase 2

The next phase has Hulk run off from the volcano golem, who is chasing him and the kid. If the player performs decently, they're shown screaming in terror as Hulk barely stays ahead. If the player gets an Elite Beat, Hulk swiftly sprints ahead. At the end of the phase, the kid tells Hulk to "steal home plate," so Hulk uses his "Atomic Steal." If the Elite-O-Meter was is over half full, Hulk slide-kicks a fire hydrant open, hitting the golem as the kid calls him the "King Of Stolen Bases." If it is below half full, Hulk gets fist slammed by the golem before making it. The kid, like an umpire, yells "OUT!" as Hulk complains about his bruises.

Phase 3

The third phase has Hulk and the kid ride a roller coaster to trick the golem. If the player performs adequately, the golem is confused over where they are. If the player gets an Elite Beat, he's shown to have gotten dizzy over how fast they're going. Then, Hulk prepares to strike the golem with his bat. If the Elite-O-Meter is over half full, Hulk is successful. If it is below half full, they accidentaly ride into the golem's mouth and scream in terror as they try to get out of it.

Phase 4

The final phase has Hulk finally face off against the golem, who once more is spitting out fire rocks. If the player performs adequately, Hulk responds by bunting them (to the kid's constant shock). If the player gets an Elite Beat, Hulk repeately shoots them away as the kid cheers. If the player does poorly, they get bombarded by the meteors.

  • Best Ending: The golem shoots a giant fire rock at Hulk, who is able to deflect and destroy the golem with it. Thanks to that, Hulk decides to make a dramatic comeback into the major leagues. As he gets ready to enter the match, the kid wishes him good luck, and he responds with "You bet, kid!" as he winks and gives him a thumbs-up. Now nicknamed the "Comeback King," Hulk starts his return by scoring a game-winning grand slam, celebrating with the kid.
  • Normal Ending: The golem shoots a giant fire rock at Hulk, who is able to deflect and destroy the golem with it. Thanks to that, Hulk decides to make a dramatic comeback into the major leagues. As he gets ready to enter the match, the kid wishes him good luck, and he responds by saying he'll try his best. Hulk starts his return by delivering a decent line drive to the right field.
  • Poor Ending: The golem shoots a giant fire rock at Hulk, who is able to deflect and destroy the golem with it. Thanks to that, Hulk decides to make a dramatic comeback into the major leagues. As he gets ready to enter the match, the kid wishes him good luck, however, due to his poor showing in the battle, Hulk is still insecure about his abilities, starting his return by delivering a weak bunt.
